ZIMBABWE – Suluman Chimbetu, who is expected to leave the country today, for his performance in United Kingdom has made changes on his touring band, H-Metro has established.
Sulu is travelling with five members and without regular traveller Knowledge ‘Nodza’ Nkoma and other senior members like Solo Makore.
A surprise exclusion, however, is Nodza who has never missed Sulu’s tours a number of years and has been replaced by new comer Tafadzwa Museka.
Though Sulu’s publicist Joe Local Nyamungoma described the changes as ordinary rotation, sources say heads might be rolling.
There was shake up earlier this year when Museka stepped in to replace Nodza on the lead guitar.
“This is normal just like what they do during shows here back home. Tafadzwa (Museka) is going for the first time.
“Everything is normal and the other guys who are going are Moffat Nyamupandu, Carlton Muparutsa, Shacky Phiri and Darlington Chabata.
“It’s a clear indication that Sulu is still a force to reckon with home and abroad despite not having new stuff on the market. He is returning to UK in short period of time after another successful tour,” said Local.
Sulu is joining superstar Oliver Mtukudzi for a performance in Birmingham this Saturday.
