ZIMBABWE – A waterfalls man has been dragged to court for assaulting his eight months pregnant wife after dumping her.
Anderson Solomon, 22, pleaded not guilty when he appeared before mbare magistrate Reward Kwenda charged with physical abuse.
The case was discharged before the court after there was no solid evidence to support that Solomon was guilty of assaulting his wife.
Allegations as reported by Clarieta Kufa, 22 were that on October 18, Solomon dumped Kufa at retreat claiming that he no longer wanted them to live as husband and wife.
Kufa is said to have followed Solomon on October 19 and arrived home around midnight, which did not go so well with Solomon.
It had been brought before the court that Kufa tried to jump into the same bed with Solomon and he turned violent and pushed eight month old pregnant Kufa on the floor.
Kufa had said she did not sustain visible injuries but she developed back pains since then.
Kufa lodged a complaint with the police leading to Solomon’s arrest.
Liberty Gono appeared for State.
