Man assaults his wife with electricity codes to surrender marriage

ZIMBABWE – A city woman pleaded for a protection order against her husband who assaulted her using electricity codes with an aim of making her surrender their marriage.

Salim Mbundu reportedly to be in the habit of causing domestic violence was hauled to the civil court by her wife Beauty Chinodakufa.

Chinodakufa grieved the pain of assaults, torture and vulgar insults that she endured almost every day of her marriage life as she was pleading for a protection order.

“I am in requisite of a protection order against my husband who assaults me frequently using electricity codes.

“Mbundu insults me in vulgar language, forcing me to surrender the marriage as he will be telling me that his girlfriend Norah is now the love of his life.

“At times he chases away my 11 year old son from my first marriage, harassing him just to torture me as the mother,” said Chinodakufa.

However, Chinodakufa did not attend court when these allegations were placed on him.

The presiding magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa granted the protection order by default.
