Domboshava woman accused her former husband of violating her freedom and peace

ZIMBABWE – Adija Kanjika appeared at Harare civil court seeking a protection order against Given Mutimudye who emotionally abuses her with threats and insults.

“Matimudye divorced me in 2010 because l am diabetic and left for his girl in the city.

“My health is at risk, each time he insults me, l end up having high blood pressure.

“He threatens to kill me and at one point sometime last month he choked mi at my house.

“He also threatens to be- witch our children each time l orders him to support his children.

“The most painful part of his actions is forcing me to sign documents l do not understand or agree with,” said Kanjika.

Mutimudye did not attend court to answer for his side.

Magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa, who presided over the matter, granted a protection order in favour of Kanjika.
