ZIMBABWE – Two teenagers reportedly abducted a girl and took her to their place where they inserted a cooking stick into her privates to test her virginity.
Shelter Senga, 18, and Fungisai Jera, 19, both of Epworth, allegedly abducted a 15-year-old and inserted a cooking stick into her privates leaving her bleeding profusely.
This was heard at the Harare magistrates’ court where the two teenagers appeared facing aggravated indecent assault and unlawful detention charges.
Senga and Jera denied the charges when they appeared before magistrate Hoseah Mujaya.
The State led by Ephraim Zinyandu had it that on November 12 last year at around 4pm Senga and Jera met the 15-year-old on her way to the borehole.
It is said that Senga and Jera told the girl that they wanted to take her to their place of residence since they wanted to stay with her.
Reports are that the teenager refused arguing that she was once chased away from their place of residence.
The court heard that Senga and Jera grabbed the girl and dragged her to their place of residence in Overspill.
Upon arrival they reportedly forced her into the house before locking the door from inside.
Senga and Jera allegedly told the girl that they wanted to see if she was still a virgin before forcing her to lie down.
They allegedly removed her pair of trousers and inserted a cooking stick between her legs leaving her bleeding.
Reports are that the girl screamed drawing the attention of a neighbour who rushed to the rescue.
It is said Senga and Jera locked the girl inside their house and went away.
They allegedly returned the following day and released her.
She then went to inform her guardian who then took the matter to the police.
Senga and Jera were arrested and taken to court facing two criminal offences.
