ZIFA plans for life after Henrietta

ZIMBABWE-HARARE-Zimbabwe Football Association Board chairman Cuthbert Dube has written to Fifa informing the world body of his decision to suspend his CEO Henrietta Rushwaya.
This move indicates that Dube and his board have a lot to hang on the controversial CEO and are probably making plans for life without her.
In her place, the board has appointed former CEO Jonathan Mashingaidze, widely acknowledged to be a better football brain than Rushwaya.
Ina letter addressed to Fifa secretary General Jerome Valcke, Dube said his board had to move on the CEO as they felt she was hindering progress in the investigations.
“Following the Zifa board meeting of 24 July 2010 we resolved to suspend with immediate effect the Zifa chief executive officer, Ms Henrietta Rushwaya to pave way for a full scale inquiry into our senior national soccer team’s unsanctioned trip to Asia in December 2009 amongst other trips thereto.
“An inquiry team set-up to probe the trips has met with difficulties as members of the secretariat, particularly the chief executive officer have been allegedly influencing the players and technical officials not to volunteer any information.
“The suspension meant to allow the investigation team to get down to the bottom of the probe without undue interference and influence from the secretariat amid serious allegations of match-fixing and betting trips.
“Our board shall soon update you on the findings of the inquiry team,’’ wrote Dube.

This woman has been dogged by controversy all through her tenure as CEO. It was a misinformed decision that resulted in her attaining high such a high office. What administrtive skills has she got to qualify her for such a job. One do't have to be soccer expert to work in football admin, but if truth is to be told, a bitch is a bitch.
