Mugabe’s sister dies

ZIMBABWE-HARARE-Mugabe’s office says his sister Sabina Mugabe — a former lawmaker and one of his closest allies — died after a long battle with illness. She was 76.
The death Thursday of Robert Mugabe’s most trusted family confidante and associate would be a severe blow to the ascetic 86-year-old president, who is often seen as having few close friends.
ZANU-PF party spokesman Rugare Gumbo said Sabina Mugabe will be buried at Heroes Acre, a national shrine for loyalist politicians and fallen guerrillas from the liberation war that ended white rule in Zimbabwe in 1980.
She retired from Parliament in 2008 after a lifetime in politics alongside Mugabe.
Sabina was the only surviving family member of President Mugabe. She’s perhaps best known for serving her brother’s Zanu-PF party for more than 20 years as an MP. But she is best remembered for the manner by which she acquired a previously white-owned farm in Mugabe’s controversial land redistribution programme.
She was known to tour farming areas in her black Mercedes, looking for choice properties, and in 2002 she visited the 400-acre Gowrie Farm of Terry Ford, in Norton, 40 kilometres west of Harare. Sabina told Ford that she wanted his farm. Ford refused to hand it over.
Later that year a gang of so-called war veterans began to threaten Ford, but the farmer, described by friends as a ‘gentle giant’, still refused to go. After a night of further threats, his body was found by neighbours in the morning. He had been badly beaten, then shot in the head.
Ford was, by most counts, the tenth white farmer to lose his life in the cause of land reform in Zimbabwe. It was claimed at the time that Sabina was in no way connected.
Another one bites the dust; many more to go. We thank God almighty, for taking this evil thinking idiot away, May her soul burn in hell until eternity.
May she call her sibling to her to continue farm invasions in hell. May they also take all the diamond mines with them and sell on black market in hell.
