UK - LONDON - Thank you all for the mail I got last week, I received very interesting views on the baby father and baby mama mania with most men aggrieved claiming that some women choose to do it alone.

 

Why do women cheat in a relationship??

 

 

Research has it on good authority that, although men generally cheat more than women, the gap is fast narrowing.

 

Scientfic reports puts the ration at 2 to 1 against men.

 

Revenge for past wrongs, Self-esteem, Lack of intimacy, Not enough sex, relationship exiting plan are some of the reasons given by women when asked why they cheat.

 

The main reasons for women and wives cheating appears tied closely to emotional reasons such as loneliness, revenge and boredom.

 

The only major reported notable difference in men and women cheating is that men often cheat for physical reasons while women often cite emotional reasons.

 

The media puts immense attention on single women having affairs with married men and usually state the common reasons why this happens...

 

Emphasis has been put on married men having extra marital sexual relationships but less attention on cheating married women and reasons why she would possibly have her cake and eat it.

 

When I found out my friend was cheating on her husband, naturally i became angry, but then realized I should not judge her but find reasons why she was doing it and why the numbers of married women cheating is soaring.

My interaction with married women who have cheated on their husbands suggest that women generally cheat for more than a million and one reasons.

 

I will try and squeeze them into the following:

1. Improve self esteem- she enjoys the attention and compliments about her abilities as well as her body. Most women find that after 'the honeymoon period' their husband stops jaw dropping, paying attention and giving compliments.

2. New and varied sexual experiences...she feels free to experiment with her cheating lover than with her husband, with the fear of her husband judging her sexual history with the experience.

3. Emotional connection...she desires emotional closeness and intimacy, because sometimes when two marry they start concentrating on bills, children and routine and forget the occasional walk in the park or cuddle whilst watching television.

4. Loneliness...she needs someone to talk to, who will listen to her and not think she is nagging.

5. Deep understanding of self...exploring one’s thoughts with someone who cares for her as a person not a responsibility .

6. Feeling younger and sexier...her lover’s desire for her sexually makes her feel playful and free, that’s why the other man is in most cases way younger than her.

7. Fear of aging...she is afraid of getting older...and many more.

Not in any case defending cheating women, but if your wife has cheated on you obviously want to do a serious sould searching...look inside yourself, 75% of the time you are the problem.
