ZIMBABWE - HARARE - Zimbabweans from all walks of life are beginning to have problems with Tsvangirai following further utterances by the PM that Mugabe deserves a dignified exit.
There is now a strong reason to believe our dear PM has been ‘zanunized.’
Those who have fallen to the same ZANU-PF trap exhibit the following symptoms:
(i) fiercely defend Mugabe.
(ii) have an aversion to the truth.
(iii) crave for power.
Unfortunately, Tsvangirai is exhibiting all these characteristics—some in the formative stages but others at relatively advanced stage.
Tsvangirai is going around the world telling the world leaders and the international community that there is some progress in Zimbabwe, including restoration of the rule of law.
The situation on the ground, however, tells a different story.
A case in point is the daily arrest of the MDC members of parliament and the senate, on trumped up charges that can best be described as politically motivated.
The latest case is of Shuah Mudiwa who was convicted of kidnapping a 12 year-old boy in 2007. When his lawyers wanted to enter an appeal and/or seek bail for him, his docket was missing.
These are typical trademarks of the heinous CIO—whichever way one wants to look at this case. Two other MDC members of parliament, Trevor Saruwaka, who represents Mutasa Central in the House of Assembly, and Mike Makuyana, who represents Chipinge South, currently await sentencing on charges which their party and lawyers say are politically motivated.
Gradually, Mr Prime Minister, ZANU PF is gnawing at your parliamentary majority, whilst you are misleading the world that the GNU is working. I was taken aback, to say the least, by your statement on BBC that there are no significant farm invasions taking place in Zimbabwe.
First, any farm invasion, one or ten, or whatever number, must never be condoned. Unless you are interested in having proxies invade one farm for you!
Two things with respect to the farm invasion issue; first, you have now gone off at a tangent with the truth, and second, you are trying to justify the unjustifiable.
Considering that we have only a few white farmers, who are trying under difficult circumstances to produce food for a starving nation, it defies logic that you have the audacity to justify the ongoing farm invasions.
A more disturbing behaviour, but typical of ‘zanunized’ people, is that suddenly you have become an ardent defender of Mugabe. The following statement that you have made baffles the mind: ‘there is chemistry between me and Mugabe; I have access to Mugabe when I want; the west must get over Mugabe; Mugabe is not the problem.
Mr Prime Minister you are exhibiting prototypical symptoms of someone ‘zanunized’. Recall when Jonathan Nathaniel Moyo was ‘zanunized’, he was transformed from being a fierce critic of Mugabe to an overzealous defender of Mugabe and his ruinous policies—if there were any at all.

Typical of Mugabe, he has not acknowledged the good working relationship that you have or this ‘chemistry’. Mr Prime minister, if you are asked to give a single example of the improvement with respect to the rule of law or relaxation of media censorship, you will not succeed. There is still massive suppression of the media.
A case in point is that you have tried to circumvent this massive censorship by printing what you call a ‘newsletter’. Why, as Prime Minister did the Herald not cover your trip in a favourable way?
You need to be mindful of the fact that even if you are ‘zanunized’, ZANU PF has a culture and history of ‘eating its own children’, e.g., Josiah Tongogara, Cain Nkala, Elliot Manyika, Border Gezi, to mention but a few.
Your newsletter is now under analysis: Charamba wants to see whether your newsletter violated any of the repressive media laws— Good luck with that Mr Prime Minister!
Finally, you have made it crystal clear that whatever happens, even if ZANU PF stick it to you, you will put up with that until the end of the GNU period.
You need to be flexible Mr Prime Minister; this is what I mean by wanting power at all costs! In conclusion, our Honourable Prime Minister is exhibiting symptoms of someone ‘zanunized’ or in the process of being ‘zanunized’.
