The Zanu PF party has been invited to observe the elections to be held in South Africa on 7th May.

In a statement, Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Rugare Gumbo, said the Zimbabwean delegation leaves on Thursday and there will be in South Africa for two weeks.

“The Deputy Minister for Women’s Affairs, Gender and Community Development, Abigail Damasane, is head of delegation and is being accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Energy and Power Development, Engineer Munacho Mutezo, Honorable MP Anastacia Ndlovu and Brigadier General Walter Tapfumaneyi,” Gumbo said.

Gumbo said the invitation demonstrates a great deal of confidence in Zanu PF’s experience and capabilities as a party. -

“Zanu PF and the ANC have a lengthy history of working together and both are part of the national liberation movements which helped bring freedom to the continent after decades of political and economic subjugation.

“This election is a very important one, coming as it does exactly 20 years after the attainment of freedom in South Africa. We wish the people of South Africa a peaceful, successful and exciting election,” he said. -ZBC
