This day of 2020 is the day which brought us this ravage to our life.
In the end of the same month the state found it fit to charge us for exercising our constitutional right. Right to demostrate and petition the government, right to freedom of speech, association and assembly. These are our alleged charges.
Today after a whole year of continous persecution by prosecution, victimisation and harrasment by the whole arm of the judiciary system, in the case where we are being accused of having to have broke covid regulations thru a demostration wch we led demanding welfare/ safety nets and accountability of covid relief funds we were back to be given trial date.
It has been set for 8 June 2020 in court 9, Harare Magistrates court.
In this matter we’re 7 accused persons Joana Ruvimbo Mamombe, Cecillia R Chimbiri , Tererai Obey Sithole , Makomborero Haruzivishe , Stanley Manyenga, Lovejoy Chitengu .
Our time to be with our families, loved ones and work to try and earn a living is being wasted. The state should always be reminded that we’re peaceful young people who yearn to see change and a better Zimbabwe in our lifetime.
