ZIMBABWE – A commuter omnibus tout denied paternity in the civil court when a woman was demanding maintenance from him for the upkeep of their reported child.
Evelyn Bako dragged Andrew Chihunza who she once had a fling with, demanding US$80 maintenance for their minor child.
However, Chihunza disputed to be liable for the child’s maintenance as he denied paternity in court.
“I do not know that Bako has a child with me despite the fact that we once had sex.
“She should have shown me the child if I am the father before claiming maintenance.
“Maybe I can offer her US$20 for maintenance since I have no option.
The presiding magistrate Barbara Mateko ordered him to pay US$30 maintenance with effect from December 31.
