The much-hyped and anticipated Zimbabwe Institute of Strategic Thinking (ZIST) conference is set for tomorrow.
Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo, the ZIST Chief Executive Officer said his organisation is proudly hosting a National Strategic Thinking Conference themed, “DEFENDING NATIONALISM THE CONUNDRUM OF THE ZIMBABWE VISION”. The conference is a platform meant to spotlight the country’s Vision 2030 by bringing together eminent minds to discuss pathways to make this endeavour a reality.
“We invite all well-meaning Zimbabweans to register to participate at this conference which is scheduled for the 31st of August 2021 (0900hrs to 1300hrs) at Holiday Inn Hotel Harare. Participation at the conference is absolutely free.
“The conference will be a half-day event comprising of government officials, the diplomatic community, civic society members, academics, researchers, church leaders, corporate world leaders, and other interested individuals. Please note that this will be a non-political event but a platform for strategic engagement towards achieving the Zimbabwe vision,” Muzamhindo said.
Among the speakers is Manyara Irene Muyenziwa, a Zimbabwean based in England. She is a Strategic businesswoman being the CEO of Rhodsac ltd in London, runs a lot of business ventures across Africa, Asia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe and Medical Practitioner. Muyenziwa is also the founder of MIM Foundation.
Former Mayor of Harare, Ben Manyenyeni, a renowned strategist in his own right, is also expected to speak at the conference. Manyenyeni is known for holding the fort against the ruling party ZANU (PF) that sought, albeit futile to spread its tentacles by meddling in the affairs of Harare City Council.
He is known for forging partnerships with financial service giants like Fidelity and Old Mutual in deals meant to provide affordable housing to Harare City’s middle-income earners, among many other achievements that include but are not limited to efficient service delivery during his tenure as mayor for the sunshine city.
The organiser, Eric Tinashe Muzamhindo, the ZIST President, said his institution stands ready to provide policy direction and strategic guidance to individuals, institutions, political parties as well as private or public entities.
“Our services include critical and strategic thinking; solution-focused thinking; developing and grooming; academic research and publication; cognitive knowledge; strategic engagement; research-based strategy; policy advocacy and advisory; organisational leadership and development consultancy; capacity strengthening; and mindset transformation,” Muzamhindo said.
