HARARE – Opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has called on President Emmerson Mnangagwa to embrace diversity for the betterment of the country.
Commenting following the conviction of opposition youth leader Makomborero Haruzivishe, Chamisa said the failure to fix differences peacefully was shortchanging Zimbabwe.
“Our inability to resolve our differences peacefully & fix broken politics is costing us opportunities to make Zim great. @edmnangagwa accept and embrace differences. Diversity is the substance of human existence. Stop persecuting dissent. Dissent strengthens. Diversity is profitable,” Chamisa said on his Twitter handle.

The Nelson Chamisa led opposition party has withstood serious attacks for the past year, characterised by arrests of its members, occupation of their headquarters and diverting of the funds due to them.
