It was a nail biting second T20 meeting between Zimbabwe and Pakistan today as the hosts claimed victory on home soil.
As the old saying goes, catches win matches, it was indeed the order of the day as the Chevrons looked to polish up mistakes from the first T20 as they recorded 8 catches.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bowl first, restricting the Chevrons to 118 runs as the spinners did the job of the day. Tinashe Kamunhukamwe top scored with 34 while the young pair of Wesley Madhvere and Tadiwa Marumani looked more stable posting a combined 29 runs.
However ideal bowling and fielding from Zimbabwe saw them take victory home as man of the match Luke Jongwe posted figures of 4/18. Pakistan managed 99 runs as they gave Zimbabwe a 19 run victory.
The day brightened up for the hosts as they did not record any dropped catches while spinners took matters into hands and restricted Pakistan whom in the 6th over needed 88 runs from 82 balls.
Captain Sean Williams and Craig Ervine sat out due to injuries but Brandon Taylor captained the ship to victory on his return while Tarisai Musakanda produced his exquisite fielding with a couple of catches. All eyes are now set on the final T20 as the series is now tied at 1-1.
