ZIMBABWE – George Tinashe Sare told the court that he cannot continue to give Edna Sare the stated amount because of different changes in circumstances when he says:
“I want the money to be varied from 100 to 20.”
“I have two other children from the deceased mother.”
“My salary is now being deducted and at the moment am not employed.”
“She moved out of the house at her own choice last year October, so I can no longer maintain her because she does not want us to finalise our divorce.”
In response Edna says:
“He should not apply for downward variation because he has not been paying the 100 ever since June 2015.
“I did moved out of the house because he is a violent man.
“He also engages into fights with policeman whenever l reported to the police station.
“I have been granted a protection order trying to save my marriage but because he does not fear the law l left him.
Magistrate Trevor Matsanga who presided over the matter dismissed the application.
