HARARE – Magistrate Ngoni Nduna today granted ZWL$100 000 bail to former Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) boss Henrietta Rushwaya, who was arrested last year while attempting to smuggle 6kgs of gold.
She was arrested in October 2020 at the Robert Mugabe International Airport after authorities received a tip-off that she wanted to illegal leave the country with gold worth US$366 000.
As part of the bail conditions, Magistrate Nduna ordered that Rushwaya resides at a given address and report to the police on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Rushwaya was also ordered to surrender her travelling documents, not to interfere with evidence, not to go 80km near any border and is not allowed to leave her house between 8pm and 6am.
