ZIMBABWE – Tongai Matutu, who is a former MDC-T legislator for Masvingo Central has joined Zanu-Pf.
Matutu resigned from his former party after failing to get a single nomination for the Masvingo Chairmanship prior to the MDC-Alliance 2019 Congress.
This was also confirmed by the MDC-Alliance Secretary General, Chalton Hwende who wrote on his Twitter that “Mr Matutu resigned from the MDC A when he lost to Chair Gumbi @2019 Congress.”
Matutu was received during a ceremony at the State House attended by President Mnangagwa and his two vice presidents, Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi.
