MASVINGO – A Masvingo based female police officer Cst Precious Moyo was arrested for shoplifting goods worth Zw$10555 at Ok supermarket. According to a police memo that has been shared by COZWVA, circumstances are that on 26 May 2022 and at around 1300 hours, the accused person (Moyo) entered Ok Supermarket in Masvingo.
She reportedly took 60 mls of Nivea cream, 100 mls of dark and lovely, a pencil sharpener and hid them in her handbag. The accused person left the supermarket at around 1330 hours without paying for goods.
A CCTV operator noticed that the accused had stolen the goods after she had already left. On the same day at around 1730 hours, Moyo again entered OK Supermarket and took 31 grams gamucho gums. 2 queen cakes, 1 long doughnut, 5 50 grams farm style tomato paste, 1 body spritzer, 7 tinned fish and hid them in her handbag.
Moyo reportedly passed all till points without paying for the goods and was stopped by a security guard at the exit point. She was searched and found in possession of goods which were in her handbag without proof of payment and was arrested.
Total value of stolen goods is ZWL $10 555-00 and all were recovered. A report was made at ZRP Masvingo Central leading to her arrest.
In other news, iHarare reported that, in the company of his wife Rose Tatenda, footballer Kuda Mahachi visited his son Diego at Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo on Sunday where they pampered the scalded son with goodies.
This was confirmed by Mahachi’s lawyer Nkosiyabo Sibanda of Tanaka Law Chambers saying that: Yes, we went to Mpilo Hospital yesterday and father and son had a healthy conversation. The child requested goodies from his father. That is all I can say for now.
