HARARE – MDC-T National Organiser, Abednico Bhebhe, who was recently expelled from the party for “grossly violating the constitution of the party by supporting another party other than MDC-T” has defied the directive and vowed to continue with his bid to be the party’s next president.
Bhebhe, who was reportedly leading the Bulawayo Province nomination to replace the late Morgan Tsvangirai as the party’s leader was abruptly fired after the national council met virtually.
However, Bhebhe told Newsday that the expulsion was legally not going to stand.
He said, “I am not aware of any constitutional and legally enforceable expulsion except what I read in the press.”
Bhebhe, was reportedly leading the nomination before Mwonzora pushed for the suspension of the process through the national standing committee.
