HARARE – High Court judge Justice Rodgers Manyangadze has granted bail to Neville Mutsvangwa and his co-accused, Elias Majachani and Simbarashe Tichingana, after three weeks of incarceration in remand prison.

The trio was released on $1000 bail each.

Mutsvangwa, a prominent figure, faces multiple charges, including illegal foreign currency dealings and possession of an unlicensed Starlink router.

His arrest and subsequent legal battle have sparked widespread attention and debate.

The charges against Mutsvangwa and his co-accused stem from allegations of involvement in illegal foreign currency dealings and unauthorized use of communication devices.

However, Mutsvangwa’s legal team has vehemently contested the charges, claiming political motivation and lack of substantial evidence.

As the trio awaits further legal proceedings, their release on bail marks a significant milestone in a case that has captivated national attention.

The outcome of the trial will not only impact the individuals involved but also serve as a test for the justice system’s ability to address complex financial crimes in Zimbabwe.

The case has sparked concerns over illicit financial activities and the use of unauthorized communication devices, and the verdict will be closely watched by many.

For now, Mutsvangwa and his co-accused can breathe a sigh of relief as they prepare for the next stage of their legal battle.
