HARARE – Outspoken freelance journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono is appearing in court today to learn the fate of his latest bail application against charges of inciting public violence that are leveled against him.
Chin’ono was arrested on 20 July 2020 on a shameful charges of inciting public violence after he had exposed massive government corruption involving top government officials.
He has been subsequently denied bail, has remained in prison and recently his right to choose his preferred lawyer was taken away after the state through the courts banned top Human Rights Lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa from representing him. More to follow…
