A MBARE man has been arrested for selling and applying a trademark to a false product.
Brian Mundura, 32, pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Stanford Mambanje charged with selling a product with a registered trademark falsely applied.
Mundura will be back in court on November 30 for trial.
It is alleged that on November 17, Godfrey Mateko, 35, was driving along a local road in Mbare when he saw Mundura selling 5 litre concentrate juices branded Odzi.
It is said that after noticing the product branded as Odzi was not the original product, Mateko went and lodged a complaint with the police.
The court heard the police then found Mundura selling the products which also led to the recovery of 41 five litre concentrates.
After recovering falsely branded juices Mundura was arrested.
Mundura told the court that he sold fake products with a registered trademark in ignorance.
