ZIMBABWE – A CHITUNGWIZA man has been arrested for threatening to kill his ex-wife for having good relations with his family.
Livingstone Majonga, 40, pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Stanford Mambanje charged with threats to commit murder.
Majonga will be back in court on November 7 for trial.
It is the State’s case that Majonga went to Beauty Kawondera’s workplace and told her to stop visiting his relatives.
Majonga is said to have accused Kawondera of visiting his sister against their agreement to stay away from each other.
It is alleged that it is when the two were arguing when Majonga threatened to strangle or axe Kawondera to death if she continued to violate their agreement.
This did not go well with Kawondera.
Kawondera then lodged a complaint with the police leading to Majonga’s arrest.
Georgina Masanga appeared for the State.
