HARARE – Belgian based forward and Warriors Captain Knowledge Musona returned to action this past weekend, signalling a major boost for coach Zdravko Logarusic and his squad as they prepare for two AFCON qualifiers slated for later this month.
Last week, Logarusic named a 38-man provisional squad as he sweats over the fitness of a few of his star players with several other doubts due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Musona had been sidelined since January due to an ankle injury but found himself in the starting line up for his Belgian based club KAS Eupen.
However, the Warriors coach still has a few headaches to deal with particularly with the United Kingdom-based players including Aston Villa midfielder Marvellous Nakamba among others while South Africa based star Khama Billiat is yet to return to full fitness after suffering a leg fracture.
Zimbabwe will play away to Botswana on the 25th of March before hosting Zambia three days later.
