“Today my old man took his last ride to his resting place. I would like to thank you all for your support. It truly meant a lot to us, MDLONGWA family. COVID-19 is still a real killer, please take care. #KeepTheFaith,” Oskido wrote on Twitter.
MDC-Alliance president, Nelson Chamisa also traveled to Bulawayo together with other top party members to bid farewell to the party’s founding member.
He wrote on Twitter, “In Bulawayo this weekend. Now in Luveve laying to rest our hero Ubaba uEsaph Mdlongwa. Zimbabwe has lost a principled statesman who consistently fought for democracy and good governance. May his soul rest in peace.”
