In a public notice yesterday, the sheriff of the High Court disclosed that Chikwinya’s various household goods would be sold by Revelations Auctioneers at the Cold Storage Company (CSC) complex in the Willowvale industrial area in Harare.
“Duly instructed by the sheriff of the High Court of Zimbabwe, we are offering the following movable property for sale by public auction. HC13376/12 Old Mutual Property Investment vs Nyasha Chikwinya; three-piece room divider, washing machine, three culture chairs, two-door upright fridge, fan, coffee maker, scale, TV, dining table with six chairs, couch and microwave,” the notice said.
Chikwinya could not be reached for comment yesterday.
She joins a growing list of troubled top Zanu PF officials whose properties have gone under the hammer by various institutions, including banks, over outstanding debts.
Other top officials who have had their properties attached and auctioned include Mines deputy minister Fred Moyo, former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon Gono, ex-ZBC boss Happison Muchechetere, former Zimbabwe Football Association president Cuthbert Dube, Marondera MP Lawrence Katsiru, Environment minister Oppah Muchinguri, Local Government minister Saviour Kasukuwere, ex-Information deputy minister Bright Matonga and Premier Soccer League chairman, Twine Phiri.
