ZIMBABWE – The public has been warned to brace up for more load shedding hours after Zesa said their Hwange Power Station has developed a technical fault.
In a statement yesterday, the power utility company said the technical faulty will result in load curtailment of about 200MW during the peak hours of 1600 hours to 1900hours.
“ZESA Holdings would like to advise its valued customers countrywide that there is limited power supply in the national grid due to a technical fault at Hwange Power Station. Restoration of service to optimum levels is currently underway and customers are advised to use the available power sparingly.
“The technical faulty will result in load curtailment of about 200MW during the evening peak hours of 1600 hours to 1900hours,” read the statement.

Zesa said efforts to restore the service to optimum level was currently underway.
“Customers will be updated as the situation improves and the inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted,” the statement further read.
