ZIMBABWE – Zimbabwe’s vice president on Saturday claimed Robert Mugabe’s presidency is the result of a prophecy, saying there was therefore no point in anyone trying to replace him.

Joyce Mujuru told a church gathering that the 88-year-old president is irreplaceable.
Vice President Joyce Mujuru said people are wasting their time by opposing Mugabe.
She told Apostolic Sect members at the opening of a new church building on Saturday that it had been prophesied that Mugabe would lead the country when he was only 10-years-old.
The Sunday Mail claims she said that nobody should challenge the presidency.
It is not immediately clear if she was referring to officials within ZANU-PF who may want to see Mugabe step down or if she was warning opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

The president turns 89 next month and he has been in power since 1980.
