HARARE – MDC Alliance President Nelson Chamisa has spoken out against the recent attacks on his party’s national chairperson Thabita Khumalo who was severely injured after two armed men broke into her house in Bulawayo.
Khumalo was yesterday attacked by two assailants in the early hours of the morning and left with valuables including a TV screen and three cellphones.
Writing on his Twitter handle, the MDC leader condemned the attacks as “barbaric and cowardly.”
“The barbaric and cowardly attack on MDC Alliance National Chairperson Thabitha Khumalo at her home in Bulawayo yesterday points to deteriorating security of persons, rule of law and the human rights situation in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe must be safe for all who live in it!,” Chamisa said.
