BULAWAYO – MDC-Alliance vice chairman, Job Sikhala who was recently released on bail facing charges of inciting public violence took time to visit Tawanda Muchehiwa.
Muchehiwa, nephew to former Chronicle Editor, Mduduzi Mathuthu was recently abducted and tortured by suspected state security agents in Bulawayo.
Sikhala drove to Bulawayo to visit Muchehiwa and the uncle, Mathuthu.
Announcing the visit Mathuthu wrote on Twitter, “Had a visit from Cde Job Sikhala, who was recently in prison but thought he should check-in with myself and nephew Tawanda Muchehiwa after the abuse suffered at the hands of state agents.
“We thank him for his courage in his leadership sphere, and empathy with our family.”
Muchehiwa’ abduction was exposed on camera and sparked controversy after it emerged that the abductors were using cars from Impala Car Rental leading to growing protests against the company
