ZIMBABWE – A 72 YEAR OLD Glen Norah woman has dragged her son to court for stealing her refrigerator and assaulting her.

Peter Sunguro, 36, pleaded guilty when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Bianca Makwande charged with theft and assault.

Sunguro will be back in court on November 18 for his sentence.

The State led by Revai Mudozori proved that on October 24 Sunguro arrived home and asked Joyce Sunguro for his sister in law’s where about.

Joyce then told Sunguro that she had went to a relative’s place and he turned violent and asked Joyce why she had allowed her to leave without his consent.

Sunguro tried to grab a knife and threatened to stab Joyce and beat her till she managed to flee to her relative’s house.

On November 13 Joyce returned home and found her refrigerator worth US$103 stolen.

Joyce then lodged a complaint with the police leading to Sunguro’s arrest
