ZIMBABWE – While many followers see a super human standing before them every service, these are your Regular Joes who have ordinary lives away from the pulpit.

They can tell you about how they also struggle with life’s demands, how they enjoy the simple pleasures that we all do, and how they try to make ends meet in a challenging economic environment.

Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Prophet Walter Magaya has a thing for football, to the extent that he not only sponsors the Yadah Gunners team, but is also not averse to having a kickabout himself.

And it seems he has the scoring touch too. He has banged into two goals, one of them a stunner from near the corner in a match at Hellenic.

United Family International Church leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa is rarely seen outside of his religious activities.

But he has been spotted following proceedings at a Davis Cup match at Harare Sports Club. Perhaps, then, he is a tennis fan.

You would think a 10km run is a stroll in the park when you see leader of New Life Covenant Church Bishop Tudor Bismark doing his paces.

The bishop says his personal best is under an hour. So in love with running is he that it has become a daily habit regardless of where in the world he is.

Bishop Bismark organises an 10km race that attracts seasoned runners.

American televangelist and leader of World Changers Ministries, Dr Creflo Dollar, is known for his love for pumping weights.

London-based Kingsway International Christian Centre leader Matthew Ashimolowo revealed during his visit to Zimbabwe last year that he eats one meal every day and ensures that he reads at least one book a week.
To up his reading skills, he also highlighted that he undergoes a training programme to imrpove his speed reading.
