ZIMBABWE – Lisa Dzongodzwa told the court that she is in need of the money from Everisto Muhomba her school leaver husband because her relatives can no longer take care of her and the baby when she says:
“I want $90 from Everisto because the baby needs to eat.”
“I know he is not employed as I but for the sake of our baby he has to do something.”
“I am living with my relatives and things are not well as well, for they have their own responsibilities.”
“He is supposed to contribute a little so I need $50 for rent, $40 for bills and food because there is no pleasure without responsibilities says Dzongodzwa.
In response Muhomba says:
“She knows I don’t work and am waiting for my ‘O’Level results.”
“I am willing to give her $15 per month because am also staying with my sister and her husband”
“I know we are young and it was one night stand that resulted to this, but you have to bear with me I cannot afford the money you want.”
Magistrate Trevor Nyatsanza who presided over the matter and ordered Muhomba to pay $25 per month.
