ZIMBABWE – Young and talented female motocross rider, Tanyaradzwa ‘Tanya’ Muzinda has been nominated for the prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize 2020.
She wrote about the nomination on her Twitter account saying, “happy to be Nominated for the Prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize 2020.”
“l am humbled to be able to inspire so many people that see my work and message.
Together we can do better for the World . #education#ChildrensPeacePrize#Africa,” she added.
The prize is awarded annually to a child who has made a significant contribution to advocating children’s rights and improving the situation of vulnerable children such as orphans, child labourers and children with HIV/AIDS.
Tanya is known for her humanitarian work which includes paying fees for young underprivileged kids. Last year she paid tuition for more than 40 children in Zimbabwe.
This year, she challenged the Zimbabwean leadership to shun corruption which she said had buried the dreams of many girls and boys in the country.
