HARARE – The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) says it will no longer accept the lodgement of manual cargo manifests with effect from 1 March 2021.
This follows the successful implementation of the e-cargo automated system to ensure timely and efficient clearance of cargo around the county’s ports of entry.
“The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) wishes to advise it’s valued clients that after the successful implementation of the e-road cargo manifest system, the Authority will no longer be accepting the lodgement of Manual Road Cargo Manifests at the Ports of Entry as from 1 March 2021,” said the tax collector.
The tax collector urged all transporters who have not submitted their applications to do so within the remaining period as ZIMRA finalises all registrations.
Last year, ZIMRA had to revert to a manual cargo clearance system as clients failed to access the e-platform which struggled to cope with the influx of documents submitted.
