ZIMBABWE – Tendai Mutambi pleaded guilty for stealing his friend Ben Chigodora’s cell phone after he was left with the phone.
He hid the cell phone to his neighbour.
Chitungwiza magistrate Tafadzwa Miti will pass his judgement on the matter today.
Circumstances surround the matter are that on October 23 at around 11pm, Ben Chigodora left his cell phone a Nokia in the custody of his friend Tendai Mutambi.
He then came back after some few minutes and found his cell phone missing.
The court heard that Ben tried to locate Tendai so that he recovers his cell phone but it was to no avail.
On October 29 it was discovered that the accused had gone to the rural areas after he had sold the cell phone to unknown person in town who gave him money that he used as bus fare.
The cell phone is worth US$50 and nothing has been recovered yet.
