ZIMBABWE – Suspected serial burglars, who have been breaking into houses in and around Harare’s Western suburbs, had been nabbed.
Tendayi Karimazondo aka Gono Mangwende, 48 and Fungai Chikuza, 23 appeared in court facing 16 counts of unlawful entry into premises in aggravated circumstances.
The two are denying the charges.
It is said that on March 21 the duo broke into Gumisai Nenzou’s house at No. 3565 Tynwald North.
They reportedly stole radio, 40 inch television set.
Further allegations are that on April 25 they stole a decoder, TV and other items belonging to Clive Chinwada who stays at No. 6348 Rosedine, Bloomesdale.
On May 11 they reportedly broke at Ephesians Masoka’s house in Maranatha, Mabelreign and stole a TV and subwoofer before breaking into Gerald Makaza’s house in Monavale on May 22.
Karimazondo and Chikuza also allegedly went to Fungai Jackson’s house in Tynwald North where they also stole the household property.
They also reportedly went to Tutane Mumonayi’s house where they stole another TV.
On July 19 Karimazondo and Chikuza broke into Munesu Mushonga’s house in Bloomingdale and stole household property.
The duo also allegedly took their criminal enterprise to Velma Siboniso Ndlovu house in Avondale where they stole a laptop, TV and other valuables.
They also stole from Allen Badze’s house located in Tynwald North where they stole various household items.
It is alleged that they went to Trust Mubayira house in Westlea and stole some property before breaking into Joyleen Taruvinga’s in the same suburb.
Further allegations are that he also broke into Phillis Chibvongodze’s house before they also broke into Mildred Mutsipa’s house in Westlea.
Josphine Jambaya, Vincent Dzamara Musiyamhuru and Yeukai Manwa also lost property to the two suspected thieves.
