ZIMBABWE – Morris Sikina has since approached the Harare civil court seeking a protection order against Patience Rimaunake who harasses, insults, and assaults both him and his wife.
“I am in need of a protection order your Worship because this woman harasses me.
“I am now married but she is disturbing my marriage and threatens to destroy it.
“She always likes to pick a fight and at one point, she fought with my wife and bit off her breast.
“I am trying my best to knock some sense into her but she does not listen and each time she ends up hurling obscenities at me.
“The last time we were together, she got me arrested and took away all my property.
“She left because l had found some used condoms in our house the moment l came back from work.
“She is jealous that l am now leading a happy life with my new wife,” he said.
In response, Patience said:
“I only stayed with this man for two years eight months and l am her wife.
“I left for three days and later come back to find him staying with my next door friend who used to be our mediator when we fought.
“l neither harassed, insulted nor assaulted him and his wife, all l want is my property he is using with his wife,” she said.
Presiding Magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa, who presided over the matter, granted a protection order in Morris’ favour.
