MUREHWA – Police have confirmed that the missing head of 7-year – old Tapiwa Makore has not yet been found, contrary to social media claims that it was discovered in Damofalls on Wednesday.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police has not recovered any skull in relation to the late Tapiwa Makore’s murder investigations. The public should note that Police are doing routine investigations which include searches for any evidence related to the murder case,” said the Police in a statement.
The ZRP also said they will keep the public informed on the progress of the investigations.
On Wednesday, there was a social media frenzy with rumours that the boy’s missing head was discovered in Damofalls. Videos were shared online people dancing at the scene where it was claimed the head had been found.
Makore was allegedly killed by his uncle, Tapiwa Makore (senior) and one Tafadzwa Shamba for ritual purposes.
