ZIMBABWE – A 32 year old man who was in the habit of assaulting his own old mother was dragged to court by her seeking protection order.

Elizabeth Nyamombe who experienced domestic violence from his son Tonderai Sachiwo pleaded for a protection order before the court.

“I need the assistance of a protection order from my last born who harasses me and my grandchildren.

“Tonderai is developing a habit of destroying my properties whenever he is angry.

“He insults me, labeling me a witch and to some extent a prostitute,” she said.

Unfortunately, Tonderai was absent during the court session to defend himself for such brutality.

Elizabeth said to the court;

“Tonderai already planned to snub this matter when he told me that the court will follow me if it has considered necessary.”

The old woman no longer has tolerance with her own fruit of the womb as she disowned him.

“I no longer want anything to do with him.

“He is old enough to sustain himself,” she said.

A protection order was granted to the old woman by Magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa.
