‘Elizabeth Tsvangirai Facebook page a hoax’

    0

HARARE – A Facebook page purporting to be that of Elizabeth Macheka Tsvangirai, the wife of the main opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai, is a ‘hoax’ according to a statement issued by his MDC-T party on Thursday.

“We wish to place it on record that the page is fraudulent as Mai Tsvangirai is not on facebook. Someone is maliciously trying to abuse the name of the wife of the MDC leader by posting purported internal party information,” Tsvangirai’s spokesman Luke Tamborinyoka said.

“For example, only today, the hoax page posted false and malicious information intended to damage the image and standing of MDC Treasurer-general, Mrs. Theresa Makone.

The page on Thursday accused Makone of embezzling party funds, claiming:

“Most of the MDC-T members were buying electronic cards for $6 and getting the cards. But now the cards are somehow no longer being produced because the company is being owed $4800 for the 8000 cards that they produced.

“$48 000 was raised and the party cannot pay $4800 for cards produced to date. A source in the card centre department confirmed that cards were not being processed.

“Funds are nowhere to be found. Yet there are other members who paid their $6 and they have not yet received their cards. Theresa Makone the Treasurer General seems not to know where she put the money!!!”

“It has been noted that there is gross misuse of money by Makone who once raised an invoice for a camera worth $5000! …for the information department.

“A camera which she demanded to fly to South Africa to collect for herself because her deals would be exposed if someone else had gone.. $5000. And we think we can remove Zanu Pf with these type of leaders,” the page claimed.

But Tamborinyoka in his statement said “Even under normal and ordinary circumstances, Mai Tsvangirai has nothing to do with MDC administration and can never purport to have any internal party information on anything of the party, let alone finance issues.

“This notice serves to inform that the Elizabeth Macheka Tsvangirai page is not official and we are trying pursuing all options to determine the fraudster who is defaming people using the Tsvangirai name,” the statement read.

Top swedish handball coach to conduct courses in zimbabwe

    0

ZIMBABWE – TOP Swedish handball coach Henrik Signell and fitness trainer Elvir Rakovic are in the country to conduct coaching courses to assist the development and growth of the sport in Zimbabwe.

They will conduct a Level One coaching course for coaches drawn from Mashonaland West and a Level Three course and fitness training programme targeting coaches and fitness trainers from across the country.

Signell and Rakovic arrived in the country on Tuesday night and will hold their first classes today at Jameson High School in Kadoma.

The courses will run up to Sunday.

Signell said he will be focusing on the basics of the sport having watched the Zimbabwean teams playing at the Partille Cup in Sweden over the years.

“During the first days it’s about basic training, that is how to pass, how to shoot and how to defend. You cannot start with the six by six, the whole team if the individuals don’t know for example how to shoot.

“We have to start there and also when you are younger, lets say about eight to 14 years, your body and brain is more effective to learn technique training and co-ordination, therefore we start with that,” said Signell.

Signell, however, said they have to assess the level and standard of the players and coaches to see if they need to make adjustments to their programme.

“It’s not clear for us what is Level One and what’s Level Three for you because we have to see and find out where the level and standard is. Level Three and Level One in Sweden may not be the same here.

“So we have to find out the standard of the players and also the coaches first then, maybe, we may have to change a little bit in our programme and the exercises to make it harder or easier depending on the standards of the players and the coaches,” Signell said.

The Swedish coach, who is involved with the Partille Cup, said he has seen the Zimbabwean teams competing and there is need to work on the technical ability of the local players.

“We will go to Mashonaland West for three days and we will do our best to develop handball there, especially the individual technique. That is the most important thing especially for younger players. If you don’t have the individual technique it’s very hard to do something good in the team.

“We will also see the level and the standard so we can tell the coaches what they need to practice and hopefully we can start something together between Sweden and Zimbabwe for longer terms.

“They (Zimbabwean players) want to learn, they are hungry to learn, but there are some things they have to practice a lot especially individual techniques and also fitness, co-ordination and organisation.

“During their stay last year in the Partille Cup they improved a lot for those two weeks so I am positive to the future training,” said Signell.

Rakovic, who is going to be working with fitness trainers, said physical fitness was key.

Zimbabwe Handball Federation president Amon Madzvamuse said they hope the courses will complement their efforts to develop the sport.

Makandiwa ‘predicts’ crime wave after job losses

    0

The leader of the United Family International Church (UFIC) Emmanuel Makandiwa has given the most obvious prophecy, predicting a surge in crime after massive job losses ignited by a recent Supreme Court ruling on contracts.

    Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa
    Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa

Addressing his followers in Chitungwiza on Sunday, Makandiwa said he foresaw Zimbabwe building a larger prison complex to accommodate more convicts.

“The situation cannot remain like this. It’s not healthy at all. It’s not healthy at all because what I see happening some few months from now, the government has to come up with another budget to erect a bigger prison,” Makandiwa said.

“There will be a need for that. There will be a need for that. Right now, I can tell you as a prophet, already there is a place meant for that development.

“There is need for a bigger prison — much bigger than all your boarding schools and all these things because you will need a place where to put people because of where this economy is going.”

Last month the Supreme Court delivered a judgment which now allows companies to terminate workers’ contracts upon giving three months notice.

Despite President Robert Mugabe speaking out against the ruling and the massive job losses, parastatals and government departments under the control of his administration are at the forefront of sacking workers.

Just yesterday the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) sacked nearly 300 workers including managers and journalists. Almost 20 000 people have been dismissed countrywide since the July 17 Supreme Court ruling.

Mbuya Nehanda and Sekuru Kaguvi remains in a British Museum – Mugabe

    1

ZIMBABWE – President Mugabe has castigated Britain for displaying skulls of some of Zimbabwe’s heroes and heroines from the First Chimurenga in their museums as symbols of colonial conquest.

He said the British government had since invited Zimbabwe to repatriate the remains, adding that Government would collect them begrudgingly and bury them at the country’s sacred shrines. The President reiterated that sacred shrines such as the National Heroes Acre are a preserve of heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the country and were consistently loyal to the liberation cause.

He made the remarks while addressing thousands of Zimbabweans who thronged the National Heroes Acre in Harare yesterday for Heroes Day celebrations. “Tanzwa kuti misoro yevanhu vedu, vakuru vedu, yanga yakaunganidzwa mumuseum kuBritain. Varikuti tizoitora. Tichaitora tichigunun’una kuti makaidimurireyi? WaMbuya Nehanda hameno kuti tichauwana here pakati pacho? (We are told that skulls of our people, our leaders, are being displayed in a British museum and they are inviting us to repatriate them. We will repatriate them, but with bitterness, questioning the rationale behind decapitating them),” he said.

“The remains of our heroes, sacred to us, which were taken out of the country during the colonial period, have now been identified in the British History Museum. “The remains, skulls, we strongly believe are the skulls of beheaded heads of Mbuya Nehanda, Sekuru Kaguvi, Chingaira Makoni, Chinengundu Mashayamombe, Mapondera, Mashonganyika and Chitekedza Chiwashira, among
    others.

“The First Chimurenga leaders, whose heads were decapitated by the colonial occupying force, were then dispatched to England, to signify British victory over, and subjugation of, the local population. Surely, keeping decapitated heads as war trophies, in this day and age, in a National History Museum, must rank among the highest forms of racist moral decadence, sadism and human insensitivity.”

President Mugabe said once the necessary processes to repatriate the remains were complete, Government would consult with traditional leaders about how to bury them at the sacred shrines in Zimbabwe. He said he took great exception to some Zimbabweans who denigrated heroes and heroines and the sacred shrines where the gallant fighters were laid to rest.

“The misguided elements, whom we share Zimbabwe with, have the absurdity and fertile imagination to suggest who, in their unsolicited and weird and wayward opinions, should be declared a hero,” said President Mugabe. “Here and now, such people better be advised to stop entertaining themselves with mirages, that only exist in the minds of the misguided. Let me make it abundantly clear that these sacred shrines are solely for our heroes who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of this country.

“Heroes were, and are, consistently loyal to the liberation cause, have their patriotism, selflessness, courage, determination never questionable, or in any doubt, at any point in time. Heroes do not become heroes after they are dead.”

President Mugabe added: “Hu hero hahumuki munhu afa. Kana urigamba chairo unozviratidza urimupenyu nebasa rako. Vanhu vanozokukudza chete paunezenge wafa. Ava inyanzvi ka idzi dzatirikukudza nhasi uno. “They proved to be heroes as they fought, lived for, and died for the liberation of Zimbabwe. They never abandoned battle! They never were rebels. They never were the weak-hearted. They never were selfish, or sell outs, but instead they were abundantly generous with their sacrifice for their country.”

Man Found Cure for HIV/AIDS and Has The US Supreme Court Ruling To Prove It!

    1

A true healthcare reformer, who stood up against the American Medical Association in court, the list of diseases he can cure stretches to some of the most unsettling conditions people face today including: bipolar disorder, depression, ADHD, Mesothelioma, acid reflux and drug addiction. Everyday it seems to become evermore clear that the human body has a powerful ability to heal itself naturally.

One man in America took this notion all the way, changing history and widening the path towards the cure of all disease, his name is Dr. Sebi. A healer, pathologist, herbalist, biochemist and naturalist who immigrated from Honduras, he is a man dedicated to service as he shows people how to take care of themselves no matter the obstacles he faces.

“Aids has been cured by the Usha Research Institute, and we specialize in cures for Sickle Cell, Lupus, Blindness, Herpes, Cancer and others.”

In 1988, he took on the Attorney General of New York in a Supreme Court trial where he was being sued for false advertisement and practice without a license after placing ads in a number of newspapers, including the New York Post where he had announced:

Pre-trial, the judge had asked Dr. Sebi provide one witness per disease he had claimed to cure however when 70 in person witnesses joined him in court, the judge had no choice but to proclaim the Doctor NOT GUILTY on all accounts, proving he did in fact have the cure to all the diseases mentioned in the newspapers. Several celebrities have sought out healing through the Doctor including: Michael Jackson, Magic Johnson, Eddie Murphy, John Travolta and the deceased Lisa Left Eye Lopes who proclaims in the video below:

Shortly after expressing her support publicly, Lisa was run off the road after leaving Dr. Sebi’s USHA Healing Village in Honduras, leading many to believe she was murdered due to her verbalized plan to share the Doctor’s message with the world. Music artist Common even mentions Dr. Sebi in his song “Pops Belief” which he released in 2011, where he recites in
    reverence:

Life becomes a belief, belief becomes live!
    Live the life you believe
The American dream, the black American dream, the universal dream
For the sake of the unwritten laws of humanity, I believe in God
I believe in my ancestors, I believe in my offsprings
I believe in Dr. Sebi, I believe we must stop Willie Lynch’n each other
I believe in the truth, truth
    See you next lifetime

Sebi also speaks about working with Michael Jackson and recalls the time they went to present in front of 17 world
ambassadors in Washington, D.C. who completely denied the two, shutting out Sebi’s mentioning of having a successful
    treatment and cure for AIDS:

“When we got to the Rayburn building. Inside were 17 African ambassadors to my right. Including Sheila Jackson Lee from Texas, John Conyer from Michigan, Jessie Jackson Jr. from the house of appropriation and Mr. Leonard Muhammad from the Nation of Islam.

I said wow, today is the day! I’m gonna tell the world, IT’S OVER!!! The world will know that Dr. Sebi has cured AIDS and they will hear it from the mouth of the global leaders. Can’t you hear it now? [audience replies “No!”] *there is laughter* CAN’T YOU HEAR IT? *with hands on hips* [audience again replies, ‘No!’]“

While many in Hollywood have tried to support Sebi, the result in effectively communicating his message seems to either gets lost or ignored. Hmmmmm… I wonder why?

Only one cause is the culprit for all diseases according to Dr. Sebi, and that is MUCUS. The mucus is a result of our starch and blood consumption, which can be cleared primarily through fasting, bio mineral alkaline rich foods and herbs. The Doctor’s unique methodology can further be explained on his website where Western medicine is disected:

According to Western medical research, diseases are a result of the host being infected with a “germ”, “virus”, or “bacteria”. In their approach in treating these “infestations”, inorganic, carcinogenic chemicals are employed. Our research immediately uncovers flaws in their premise through basic deductive reasoning. By consistently utilizing the same premise and methods, they have consistently yielded ineffective results. In essence, in the 400-year tradition of the European philosophy of medicine, their approach in treating disease has yet to produce any cures. In contrast, as we examine the African approach to disease, it diametrically opposes the present Western approach. Specifically, the African Bio-mineral Balance refutes the germ/virus/bacteria premise. Our research reveals that all manifestation of disease finds it genesis when and where the mucous membrane has been compromised.

His intra-cellular detoxifying Bio-Mineral Therapy removes years of toxic buildup, restoring cells back to their purest state. He claims “Electric Foods” (organically charged agriculture) as one of the key ingredients to this transformation, removing any acidity that may be causing disease in the body. Watch this video to learn more about the bioelectric chemistry of fruits and how they produce an actual electric charge.

With all that surrounds this pioneer, it’s a miracle that he continues to serve humanity out of his office in Los Angeles, CA as well as a tropical sanctuary called the USHA Research Institute and Healing Village in Honduras, which offers people a place to come and revitalize amongst acres of wild vegetation and sulfur rich thermal water baths. We urge you to share this story with others in promotion of holistic healing awareness and may you continue to educate yourself on the natural options available. SOURCE: http://soulspottv.com/

    Robert Mugabe Falls Down Steps

    10

Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe, 90, fell down steps from a podium after speaking to supporters upon his return from Ethiopia, say witnesses.

Mugabe appeared to miss a step and toppled when he left the raised lectern at the airport Wednesday afternoon, according to several witnesses, who insisted on anonymity because of security concerns.

His aides quickly helped him up and escorted him to his limousine which sped away, they said.

“He addressed supporters who welcomed him … He missed a step as he walked down from the podium and immediately fell down,” said a witness.

Some press photographers who captured the fall said they were forced to delete their pictures by security personnel.

Mugabe’s spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

Mugabe was elected chairman of the 54-nation African Union at a summit of African leaders on Jan. 30 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role of rotating AU chairman is largely ceremonial.

He celebrates his 91st birthday on February 21. Mugabe takes annual vacations every January to Asia, including Singapore where he has visited specialists for checkups on his eyes, according to Zimbabwean officials. The Zimbabwean leader has repeatedly insisted that he is “fit as two fiddles.”

Zimbabwe, a once-prosperous nation of 13 million people in southern Africa, has struggled since Mugabe’s government began seizing white-owned farms in 2000. Mugabe is accused of using widespread violence to win several disputed elections, according to human rights groups. The country suffered hyperinflation until it abandoned its currency for the U.S. dollar in 2009.

The EU imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe in 2002 over abuses linked to national elections, banning travel in Europe and freezing the assets of dozens of officials and business representatives. The measures have been gradually lifted in recent years to encourage reform but Mugabe and his wife Grace remain on the EU blacklist.

Now that Mugabe is the head of the African Union, the European Union has decided to ease its travel ban on him while he is chairman for the next year.

    Mugabe death prophet says threatened

    5

ZIMBABWE – CONTROVERSIAL Malawian prophet, Austin Liabunya, says he has faced routine death threats since he delivered prophecies of doom on Presidents Peter Mutharika and Robert Mugabe, according to a Malawian newspaper.

The two leaders are so close that Mugabe was the only national President to attend Malawi’s Golden jubilee last year, even skipping the burial of national hero Stanley Sakupwanya.

Liabunya prophesied recently that Mutharika-whose rule he predicted last year-will resign soon over incompetence and illness. That was after the popular prophet had said Mugabe would die before 2015 is out.

According to reports at the time, Liabunya said Mugabe’s biological clock will not tick beyond this year’s after which Zimbabwe will be restored to be in the top five of the richest countries in Africa.

Newspaper reports said Liabunya said this during the night of cross over service conducted in Area 23 at Music Cross Road tent in Malawi’s administrative capital Lilongwe in the wee hours of January 1.

During the same service Liabunya said Hakainde Hichilema would emerge as the new President of Zambia when the country goes to election next week Tuesday. The United Party for Development leader will face Patriotic Front leader Edgar Lungu who in December flew to Zimbabwe to consult with Zimbabwe’s leader.

Liabunya also said Mugabe’s wife Grace will never win in Zimbabwean politics and had simply joined politics to protect her ill-gotten wealth.

But according to a Nyasa Times report Liabunya has apologised to his followers around the world for the delays in the delivery of more prophecies due to “reasons beyond control including threats.

Liabunya however insisted that “threats will not work rather they will speed up the prophecy and make things worse before time.

With regards the Malawian leader the maverick prophet said there will be “sicknesses one after another and Mutharika and his wife will be exchanging their trips to hospitals.

The controversial prophet’s words on Mugabe and his wife generated a lot debate around the world with Zimbabweans welcoming the news of Mugabe’s imminent demise. Others celebrated the news that Grace would never be a leader.

The Mugabes have over the years become targets of immense resentment hate and the situation got worse last week with the news that Grace was at the center of attempts to evict 200 families from a Mazowe farm to make way for her game park.

Grace is increasingly seen positioning herself to take over from her husband who turns 91 next month.

Her entrance into active politics as Zanu PF leader for the powerful Women’s League has galvanised the view that she harbours bigger political ambitions with the encouragement of Mugabe himself.

Harare Man refuses to pay maintanance until wife returns underwear

    9

ZIMBABWE – A Harare man told the court that he would only pay maintenance to his wife on condition that she surrenders his underwear she took from him.

Sonny Chinyuku said he suspects that his wife Patience Bvute is using his underwear for witchcraft purposes since they are currently having matrimonial challenges.

This came to light at the Harare civil court where Patience was claiming US$300 from Sonny for the upkeep of their two minor children.

“Your Worship I can only start to assist this woman financially if she gives me back my underwear.

“We stay together at the same house and I recently went to have a shower and left my underwear in my short trousers which I was wearing.

“When I came back from the bathroom; I was shocked to see that my underwear was missing and when I asked her she denied taking it,” said Sonny.

He went on to tell the court that he was only in a position to pay maintenance on condition that she first returns his underwear.

“She suspects that I am having extra marital affairs since she found messages of other women in my phone and I am afraid that she might end up bewitching me using my underwear.

“So I have no problem with giving her money for our children’s upkeep, I am only prepared to do that when she gives me back my underwear,” he said.

Meanwhile Patience denied taking Sonny’s underwear, on her maintenance claim she said the US$300 she wanted was meant to meet all the needs of their minor child.

“I don’t know what he is talking about I never took his underwear and he is just making excuses t0 avoid paying maintenance.

“He is a postman by profession and he can pay the US$300 which i ma claiming from him as maintenance,” said Patience.

The presiding magistrate ordered Sonny to pay US$150 per month as maintenance for the children. h-metro.com

VP Job is not a honeymoon – Phelekezela Mphoko

    0

ZIMBABWE – Newly appointed Zimbabwe and Zanu-PF Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, a long serving diplomat and freedom fighter, has said he is elated with his elevation and promised to deliver to people’s expectations.

“This is not a sleep on the job work,” said Mphoko, in an interview soon after his appointment by President Mugabe yesterday. “This is not a honeymoon. This is in actual fact a challenge. That is the most important thing.

“The challenges and problems that are there I will find them from the people. “People are going to tell us what the problems are, then together we will address them.” Mphoko (74) was the zipra commander in charge of logistics and supplies during the liberation struggle.

He was also part of the five-man zipa Command, a joint operation between Zanla and Zipra. Mphoko was one of the first seven commanders of the Military Planning Committee of Zapu formed in 1965, together with Ambrose Mutinhiri, Abraham Nkiwane, then later Akim Ndlovu, Robson Manyika, Gordon Bushe and Walter Mbambo.

He trained in military science together with Mutinhiri in the Soviet Union in 1964. Just before independence, Mphoko was appointed Zapu representative to Mozambique where he worked with South African President Jacob Zuma, Joe Modise and other African National Congress top brass.

Mphoko served Zimbabwe for more than 27 years as a diplomat beginning in Mozambique, serving in-between as consular between 1988 and 1992. Between 1996 and 2001, Mphoko served in Vienna, Austria as consular.

In 2002, he was appointed Zimbabwe’s High Commissioner to Botswana where he served until he was posted to Russia in 2005.
A trained agriculturalist, Mphoko was then posted to South Africa in 2010, replacing Simon Khaya Moyo until he was recalled this year.

VP Mnangagwa secretary fighting for life after ‘cyanide’ attack

    0

HARARE – UNKNOWN assailants yesterday broke into zanu-pf second secretary and Vice-President, Emmerson Mnangagwa’s party office and laced a deadly poisonous substance that left his secretary battling for her life in the Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital in Harare.

The intention appeared to be for Cde Mnangagwa to inhale the substance as soon as he opened the office and subsequently poison him to death. The nature of the substance could not be ascertained by the time of going to Press.

President Mugabe revealed the devious attempt after appointing the new Presidium and Politburo members at an extraordinary Central Committee meeting in Harare yesterday. The zanu-pf First Secretary and President appointed Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko as party Vice-Presidents, positions he said they would also hold in Government following the sacking of Joice Mujuru and the death of former VP, John Landa Nkomo.

“We are aware of people who really want to harm us, physical harm also,” said President Mugabe. “I was talking about the incident that happened kuma offices edu, ezanu-pf. The offices of Cde Mnangagwa were broken into last night and poisonous powder is spread all over the desk and so on.

“That powder, which when the door opens and there is that flash of air will be blown up and then he would breathe it. “So it was not Mnangagwa who opened the door, it was the secretary (Ms Catherine Magaya) who opened the door and poor girl there she was, she breathed it and she is a mess. She is in Intensive Care just now. Ko pamusana peyi? Chatatadza chii? Why? Why? Why? We want investigations to be done. I am just warning you that it’s not always those who smile at us are our friends. Take care!”
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the incident, saying investigations were underway.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police has received a report to the effect that some poisonous substance was thrown into the honourable Vice President and Second Secretary of zanu-pf Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s office at the zanu-pf Headquarters last night,” said police spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba.

“We are not yet clear of the exact time. We wish to state that as ZRP, we are currently investigating this very serious incident and we strongly condemn this unlawful act and wish therefore to state that such acts of criminal sabotage and violence on senior Government and party officials will be dealt with and the culprits shall face the full wrath of the law which will be applied once the culprit are identified.

“We are appealing to anybody with information with regards to the incident to report to the nearest police station.” Sources said: “When she (the secretary) got into Mnangagwa’s office to tidy it, she saw some substance on the table and started feeling dizzy. That is when she called at Mnangagwa’s ministry advising them about the break-in and her condition.“A vehicle was immediately dispatched and took her to a private hospital in an unstable condition where she was admitted into the ICU. No visitors are allowed as her condition is bad.”

It is understood that Ms Magaya’s condition had improved by end of day yesterday. It is not the first time that Cde Mnangagwa’s offices have been broken into. Sometime in September his offices at the New Government Complex were broken into barely a month after Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku’s Mashonganyika Building offices were also broken into with the assailants stealing a desktop computer and a television set.

A few days after the break-in at the Supreme Court, four judges reportedly lost keys to their offices, a development that prompted the Judicial Services Commission to urgently request police security at Mashonganyika Building which houses the Supreme and the Constitutional courts.

Cde Mnangagwa was in October again involved in a car accident with a bus owned by a public hospital and donated by the European Union in a case widely believed to be another attempt on his life
